How to remove a member from your account
When someone leaves your team — they switch jobs, you wrap up a project, or you simply no longer need them in the Account — you can remove them. Only Owners and Admins can remove members.
What removal does
Removing a member:
Revokes their access immediately. They can no longer log into your Account.
Doesn't delete their work. Dubs they created stay in the Account.
Doesn't delete their user account. They can still log into Dubly.AI itself with other Accounts they belong to. Removal is a hard, immediate action. There's no "deactivated" state where they keep partial access.
How to remove someone
Open the Members page from your Account settings.
Find the person you want to remove.
Open their row's actions menu and choose Remove.
Confirm. That's it — they're out as soon as you confirm.
Who you can't remove
The Owner. The Owner role can't be removed; ownership has to be transferred to someone else first.
Yourself, if you're the Owner. Same reason.
Before you remove someone
For an organized hand-off:
Make sure their active dubs aren't a surprise to anyone. Dubs they started will continue, but if you want to track them, note them down before removing.
Document any custom voices, glossaries, or Translation Styles they configured so the rest of the team knows where they came from. For a more thorough hand-off, see How to off-board a member.
