Who owns your uploaded and dubbed content?
You own your content. Both the videos you upload and the transcripts, translations, dubs, and lip-synced renders Dubly.AI generates from them.
What you own
Source videos you upload.
Transcripts, translations, dubbed audio, and lip-synced videos generated from your source.
Translation Styles (your brand glossary, pronunciation, tone) and any voice clones created under your organization.
What Dubly.AI has a limited right to do
To provide the service, we need a limited, revocable license to:
Process your content through our transcription, translation, voice synthesis, and rendering pipelines.
Store your source and generated content on our storage provider so you can re-export and reuse it.
Route content through our sub-processors (e.g. Server Hoster) for the specific step they handle.
We also compute anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., average project length, feature usage) for product analytics. These never contain your content or identify you personally.
What we don't do
We don't train our models on your content.
We don't sell or share your content with third parties beyond the sub-processors needed to run the service.
We don't reuse your voice clones outside your organization.
For the authoritative list of sub-processors and binding commitments, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Voice cloning and consent
Voice cloning requires explicit consent from the speaker. For your own voice, consent is captured when you create the clone. For any other person's voice, you confirm that you have their written consent before uploading their audio. Clones created in your organization are only available to members of that organization.
Third-party rights
You are responsible for holding the rights to any source content you upload, including:
Copyright for video, music, and any embedded third-party material
Releases from people on camera
Voice / likeness consent for anyone whose voice you clone
Dubly.AI provides tools; legal responsibility sits with the account holder.
Deleting your content
You can delete any project or voice clone from its menu. See Data Deletion and Retention Periods for what actually happens when you delete, and How to delete your account for closing the account itself.
